Whenever I'm lonely, I think of calling you
and when I feel happy, I think about you, too.
You're just on my mind, all the time,
you're my blue suede shoes.
And I don't write love songs to make you want me too,
it's just that I can't think of much else I could do,
with all this empty space, there's a bar that's near my place
I go most every afternoon.
With a pen and a pad, I write love songs,
some happy, some sad, but mostly just bad.
Whenever I'm lonely, I think of calling you
and when I feel happy, I think about you, too.
You're just on my mind, all the time,
you're my blue suede shoes.
